Welcome to DogDollars. These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your use of the DogDollars software-as-a-service platform, websites, and related services (the “Service”), operated by DogDollars Inc. (“DogDollars”, “we”, or “us”) from Ontario, Canada. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Acceptance
By signing up for or using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms, and that you are at least 16 years old and legally able to enter a binding agreement. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.
2. Your account
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate, current information and to update it as needed. Notify us promptly of any unauthorised access or security concerns. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service to break the law or infringe the rights of others.
- Upload malware, attempt to breach security, or probe the Service for vulnerabilities outside a responsible disclosure context.
- Scrape, resell, or reverse-engineer the Service except as permitted by law.
- Use the Service to send unsolicited bulk messages or spam your own clients.
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with any organisation.
4. Subscriptions and billing
DogDollars is offered on a subscription basis. New accounts receive a 14-day free trial. After the trial, paid plans are billed monthly in the currency shown at checkout through our payment processor, Stripe. By subscribing you authorise us (via Stripe) to charge your chosen payment method on each billing date.
You may cancel at any time from your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period and you retain access until then. We do not generally offer refunds for partial months, but if something goes wrong on our end please reach out and we will sort it fairly.
We may change pricing with at least 30 days’ notice by email. If you keep using the Service after the new price takes effect, that counts as acceptance of the new price.
5. Content and data ownership
You retain all rights to the data you or your clients put into the Service (“Customer Data”) — including client lists, walk records, notes, photos, and schedules. We only use Customer Data to provide and improve the Service for you, and we will not sell or share it for advertising.
You grant DogDollars a limited licence to host, transmit, back up, and display Customer Data solely to operate the Service. You can export and delete your data at any time from the dashboard or by emailing us.
6. Walker conduct and independent contractors
DogDollars is a tool used by walkers and small business owners. Everyone using the Service — including solo operators, team members, and subcontractors invited into an account — is an independent user. DogDollars does not employ walkers, is not a party to the services delivered to pet owners, and is not responsible for the conduct, safety practices, insurance, or licensing of users of the Service.
You are responsible for complying with local laws about pet care, business operation, insurance, employment, and tax obligations in your area.
7. Service availability
We work hard to keep the Service running smoothly, but during this early preview period we do not offer a formal uptime Service Level Agreement (SLA). We may perform maintenance, release updates, and occasionally take the Service offline without prior notice. We will communicate significant planned downtime where reasonably possible.
8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, DogDollars disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, DogDollars’ total aggregate liability for any claims arising out of or related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. DogDollars is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities.
9. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through the Service at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable in Ontario, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. You and DogDollars agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario for any disputes that cannot be resolved informally.
